Fraxel® laser treatments can target acne scars, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and fine lines. The laser can treat the face, neck, décolletage, and even hands & arms. The Fraxel® laser works to accelerate the body’s natural healing process by stimulating the growth of new, healthy skin cells with thermal energy. Patients report mild discomfort when undergoing Fraxel® treatments, often describing a slight prickly sensation.

What to Know

Patients should cease any retinoid treatments or astringents for one week before a Fraxel® treatment. A typical treatment session lasts roughly 30 minutes (and can vary depending on the number of areas being treated). As with all laser treatments, recovery times will vary – however; most patients report a five day recovery time. The skin will be red and peeling during the recovery process as the body regenerates new healthy skin cells.
